RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION: Elect a President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer of the Corporation.

 

ITEM SUMMARY:

  • In accordance with MPFC Bylaws,
  • The officers of the Corporation shall be a President, a Vice President, a Secretary, and a Treasurer, and such other officers as the Board may from time to time elect or appoint.
  • Each officer is elected to a term of two (2) years.
  • Officers may be re-elected.
  • Officers are subject to removal from office, with or without cause, at any time by a vote of a majority of the Board.
  • A vacancy in an officer position shall be filled by a vote of a majority of the Board.
  • The most recently elected officers are:
  • President –  (former member) Charlie Philips, elected 06/03/2023
  • Vice President – Geré Feltus, elected 12/19/2023 to fill a vacancy
  • Treasurer – Justin Beller, elected 06/03/2023
  • Secretary – Geré Feltus, elected 06/03/2023

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: 

  • The McKinney Public Facility Corporation was formed on June 21, 2022, for the purpose of financing, refinancing, or providing the costs of public facilities.
  • The MPFC Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws were approved on June 21, 2022, under Resolution No. 2022-06-085(R).
  • The MPFC shall endeavor to have at least two directors with financial experience and at least one director with real estate law experience.
