RECOMMENDED ACTION:
* Approval of the Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
* This resolution will authorize a professional services contract with LJA Engineering to provide planning and engineering services for improvements to Towne Lake Park, for a contract amount of $387,500 and not to exceed $400,000.
* The planned improvements include new parking, playgrounds, shade structures, restrooms, boardwalks, amphitheater, workout stations and shoreline restoration.
* Due to the size and complexity of the project, the design will be broken out into two phases. The first phase, which this contract comprises, consists of various surveys, H&H services, environmental services, schematic design, and architectural renderings.
* The second phase will consist of site planning, construction drawings, LOMR preparation, bid preparation and construction administration. A contract proposal for this phase will be requested for Council's approval at a future date.
