ITEM SUMMARY:
• Representatives of Atmos Energy will be providing a presentation on the timeline, scope, and impact of their upcoming pipeline replacement in and around Towne Lake Park.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• Throughout 2025 and 2026, city staff and Atmos staff have coordinated and planned for a major pipeline project that will be completed in Atmos’ utility easement in and around Towne Lake Park, McKinney Greens, and various other areas of parkland and McKinney right-of-way.
• Efforts have been made to minimize impacts to city facilities and land; however it is anticipated that new and expanded Atmos Energy utility easements will displace some wooded areas south of Towne Lake towards McKinney Greens.
