ITEM SUMMARY: 

                     The UASI program focus is on supporting state and local efforts to prevent terrorism and other catastrophic events and to prepare the nation for the threats and hazards that pose the greatest risk to our security.

                     This project will fund the purchase of ballistic plates to provide rifle resistant armor for 161 officers.

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: 

                     The UASI program grant award has been sought annually by the City of McKinney to help prepare for, respond to, and recover from natural, man-made, and technological threats and hazards.

 

FINANCIAL SUMMARY: 

                     $125,000 for 161 plates.
