RECOMMENDED HPAB ACTION:
? Staff recommends approval of the Certificate of Appropriateness for demolition of the detached carport/garage at 907 Tucker St.

ITEM SUMMARY:
? The applicant requests approval of a Certificate of Appropriateness for demolition of the detached carport/garage located at 907 Tucker St.

The applicant submitted photographs documenting the deteriorated structural integrity.

Staff performed historic research on the property to determine a construction date of the carport/garage. 1920 Sanborn maps show a garage in this location. There is no photographic or other documentation that definitively dates the carport/garage currently on site.

The home was surveyed in the McKinney Historic Resource Survey of 2023 and built circa 1915. It is an Arts & Crafts style home with a medium-priority rating. Staff believes the removal of the detached carport/garage will not change the priority rating of the residence.
