RECOMMENDED BOARD ACTION:
? Recommend that City Council approve proposed membership structure and rates

ITEM SUMMARY:
? Eliminate the current individual facility membership structure and establish a single, all-access recreation membership that provides members with access to all three City recreation centers: Recreation Center at Towne Lake, Old Settlers Recreation Center, and Senior Recreation Center.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
? McKinney Parks & Recreation currently offers separate membership structures at the Recreation Center at Towne Lake, Old Settler’s Recreation Center, and Senior Recreation Center. Over time, each facility has developed its own membership rates, pass types, eligibility requirements, and benefits. This has resulted in a complex membership structure that can be difficult for both customers and staff to understand and administer.

The Department has also received feedback from members requesting the ability to use their membership at multiple recreation facilities. Establishing an all-access membership would address this request while providing customers with greater flexibility to utilize the recreation center that best meets their needs.
