ITEM SUMMARY: 

•                     The attached resolution authorizes the City Manager to approve of a ten-year Water Rate Study with Willdan Energy Solutions

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: 

•                     Earlier this year the City of McKinney commissioned a ten-year rate study with Willdan Energy Solutions to analyze water and wastewater rates within City’s corporate limits and its ETJ.

•                     Willdan provided a Financial Forecast and recommended Water and Wastewater rates for the next ten years for the City.

•                     Willdan presented their findings and recommendations to the City Council on August 11^th, 2023.

FINANCIAL SUMMARY: 

•                     For the upcoming fiscal year, FY2024, the Rate Study was used to assist the City in determining the appropriate rates for both Water and Wastewater.
