RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of the Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
* The Airport has reached agreements with users of the new terminal for the following improvements:
o Construction of an approximately 4,000-square-foot support building for airline tenants (estimated construction cost of $1.5M to $1.7M).
o Construction of office space within the airport terminal for airline tenants (estimated construction cost of $50,000).
o Construction of the concession area within the airport terminal (estimated construction cost of $1M).
* The additional improvements are the result of operational requirements and agreements with the airline / terminal users that were finalized after the original terminal design scope was established.
* Garver, LLC, the A/E consultant for the McKinney National Airport Commercial Terminal Project, submitted a proposal in the amount of Two Hundred Seventy-Two Thousand, Eight Hundred Fifty and No/100 Dollars ($272,850) to provide additional A/E services associated with these improvements.
