ITEM SUMMARY:
* McKinney Community Development Corporation will conduct a public hearing on a project grant application submitted by Collin County History Museum in the amount of $13,300.00 for building and archive preservation projects including window tinting and interior painting.
* The museum experienced water damage creating a need for repair and painting in the Main Gallery, the Research/Library Room, upstairs office/archives room, and near the museum entrance.
* Three large windows in the Research/Library Room will be tinted to protect archives and artifacts from sun damage. All other windows in the building were previously tinted.

* The mission of the Collin County History Museum is to preserve and honor the past, connect with the present and embrace the future.
* The exhibit will promote heritage tourism in McKinney.
* The goal of Collin County History Museum is to collaborate and form partnerships with downtown businesses to attract visitors to the museum exhibits and to other businesses in the downtown area.
