RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract in the amount of $516,340, as well as all required supplemental agreements thereto, with Cobb, Fendley & Associates, Inc. for professional engineering services for the Intersection Capacity Improvements (FY23) Project (ST2303), for a total aggregate contract amount, inclusive of any supplemental agreements, not to exceed $600,000.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* The FY23 annual budget includes funding for various citywide intersections capacity improvements under Capital Improvement Project ST2303, Intersection Capacity Improvements Project.
* The following intersections are in need of capacity improvements based on current traffic volumes and future traffic projections:
o White Avenue and Community Avenue
o White Avenue and driveway to Westcreek Ranch Apartments
o US 380 and Lake Forest Drive
o Eldorado Parkway and Lake Forest Drive
* At White Avenue and Community Avenue, a right turn lane will be added to the westbound approach.
* At White Avenue, the left turn lane into the driveway to Westcreek Ranch apartments will be added to the westbound approach.
* At US 380 and Lake Forest Drive, dual left turn lanes will be added to the northbound, eastbound and westbound approaches along with removing the refuge islands o...
