ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract and all necessary change orders with Western Municipal Construction of Texas, LLC, for the Construction of the Lela, Jones, Foote, and Bradley Street Infrastructure Improvements Project (CIP Projects ST2134, WW2134 and WA2134) for a total contract amount not to exceed $6,225,000.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* Freese and Nichols, Inc, prepared the construction plans for the Lela, Jones, Foote, and Bradley Street Infrastructure Improvements Project (CIP Projects ST2134, WW2134 and WA2134).
* The project encompasses street infrastructure improvements primarily focused on the reconstruction of the following substandard residential streets including associated underground infrastructure improvements (water, wastewater, and storm):
o Lela Street (Waddill Street to College Street)
o Jones Street (College Street to Board Street)
o Bradley Street (Bonner Street to Hall Street)
o Foote Street (College Street to Board Street)
o Florence Street (Tucker Street to Hall Street)
o Byrne Street (Bonner Street to Hall Street)
o Sherman Street (Jones Street to approximately 200 Linear Feet to the south)
