RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract and all necessary change orders with S.J. Louis Construction of Texas, Ltd. for the construction of the Redbud Pump Station 794 PP Transmission Water Line for a total contract amount not to exceed $3,400,000.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* Lockwood, Andrews & Newman, Inc. prepared the construction plans for this project.
* ?n Thursday, August 31, 2017 the Purchasing Department opened bids for the project and three (3) bids were received. The following is a summary of the bids:

* The contract documents require that this project be substantially completed within 240 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed, which is expected October 2, 2017. Construction is expected to be substantially complete by June 2018.
* The contract documents contain a Milestone date of December 21, 2017, for the construction of the transmission line to be complete on the Collin College Public Safety Training Facility (PSTF) site.
