ITEM SUMMARY:
• This Ordinance amends Section 30-85 of the Code of Ordinances by adding a fee for lost airport office keys.
• The proposed lost office key fee will cover the key’s replacement cost and encourage key holders to take better care in safeguarding and accounting for them.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The Airport’s key control program accounts for all keys issued to Airport tenants.
• Lost keys can compromise Airport physical security.
• On occasion, keys are reported lost by those to whom they are issued.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• The lost key fee will be $25.00 for each incident.
