ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes an award of a fixed price contract with Jerry Carpenter Excavating of Allen, Texas and North Texas Contracting of Keller, Texas for Erosion Control and Miscellaneous Drainage Repair.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* The City issued Invitation to Bid 17-65FP Erosion Control and Miscellaneous Drainage Repair Services on June 25, 2017.
* Two (2) bids were received on July 13, 2017.
* An evaluation team comprised of three City employees reviewed and ranked
the bids based on the following criteria:
o 40 Points: Purchase Price
o 20 Points: Reputation of the Bidder and of the Bidder's Services verified
through reference checks
o 20 Points: Extent to which the services meet the City's needs
o 20 Points: Response Time, Standard and Emergencies
* The evaluation team recommends awarding Jerry Carpenter Excavating the following:
Section 1: Erosion Control Services: Labor for Repairs
Section 2 No Award
Section 3 Contractor Mobilization
Section 4: Installed Materials, Line Items 4.1 - 4.5
Section 6: Installed Materials
Section 8: Equipment, with the exception of Line Items 8.10 and 8.12.
* The evaluation team further recommends awarding North Texas Contracting the following:
Section 2: No Award
Section 3: Contractor Mobilization
Section 5: Installed Materials
Section 7: Inlet, Grates and Lids with the exception of Line Item 7.3
And from Section 8: Equipment, two line items.
