RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of the Resolution.

ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract with PSI to provide construction materials testing related to the construction of McKinney Fire Station 10 located at 1150 County Road 228, McKinney, TX 75071 in an amount not to exceed $53,921.30 which includes a contingency amount of $4,900.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* PSI is a geotechnical, engineering and construction materials testing firm with an office in McKinney and is one of the five firms in the City's vendor pool who were determined to be the most qualified by the City for these types of services.

* PSI submitted a proposal with an estimate for their professional services in the amount of $49,021.30.

FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes a construction contract with PSI, Inc. for construction materials testing, including potential changes to the scope of services, for an amount not to exceed of $53,921.34.

* The McKinney Fire Station 10 Project (FI1734) is funded within the FY18-19 Capital Improvements Program with general obligation bonds and Trinity Falls developer contributions and funds are currently available for this contract.

* With the approval of this item and the companion agenda item, $494,779 will remain in FI1734.
