ITEM SUMMARY:
• This Ordinance amends the Fiscal Year 2019-2020 Annual Budget and the 2020-2024 Capital Improvements Program by transferring $200,000 from the TIRZ 1 Fund balance to the Facilities Improvement Fund and appropriating the funds into Project FC2059, Downtown Parking Lot Lighting Improvements.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The downtown merchants and property owners worked with Main Street to identify areas in need of additional lighting.
• All downtown lighting was taken into consideration: city-maintained, private, and Oncor-owned lighting.
• Engineering and Public Works staff have identified each fixture in the downtown area and ensured all fixtures are working properly.
• This request is for $200,000 to be transferred from the TIRZ Zone 1 fund to the Facilities Improvement Fund for Project FC2059, Downtown Parking Lot Lighting Improvements to address the additional lighting needs identified in the discussed areas of city owned parking lots.
