RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of the Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract in the amount of $186,180, as well as any supplemental agreements thereto, with Dunaway Associates, L.P., for professional planning and landscape architectural services for an update to the Parks, Recreation and Open Space Master Plan and Hike and Bike Trails Plan, for a total contract amount, inclusive of any supplemental agreements, not to exceed $190,000.
* The current Parks Master Plan was adopted in 2017, which means work began on the plan in late 2015. Typically master plans are updated every 3-5 years, and with the growth that McKinney is experiencing Staff is proposing an update for 2020.
* This update is comprised of two main parts: (1) general updates to the Plan reflecting completed/underway/potential projects with concentrated revisions to sections related to priority rankings, action planning, and implementation strategies (total cost: $88,270); and (2) the creation of an updated comprehensive trails plan reflective of th...
