RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approve the Amended Resolution and Interlocal Agreement with the Samaritan Inn

ITEM SUMMARY:
* The Agenda Item was approved by City Council on September 3, 2019 with a match amount of $71,663 for the grant application amount of $286,650. HUD and MDHA approved a grant amount for the City of McKinney and the Samaritan Inn of $306,978, greater than the application amount.
* An additional match of $5,082 will be required for total match amount of $76,745.
* The City of McKinney's portion of the match, $56,745, will be provided by the City of McKinney though in-kind services. The Samaritan Inn's portion of the match, $20,000, will be provided by in-kind services.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* Rapid Rehousing funding through HUD provides short-term rental assistance
(up to one year) for persons experiencing homelessness to provide them with a safe, stable environment from which to rebuild physical, emotional and financial health.
* Funding for a Case Manager to be employed by the Samaritan Inn, will assist participants in dealing with the root causes of homelessness.
