RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:                     

                     Approve the Resolution

 

ITEM SUMMARY: 

                     Rehabilitation of the runway expansion joints is necessary to preserve the integrity of the runway surface and to extend the useful life of the pavement.

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: 

                     The City of McKinney intends to request financial assistance from the Texas Department of Transportation. TxDOT has programmed $220,000 in its Aviation Capital Improvement Program to reimburse a portion of the project costs.                                          

 

FINANCIAL SUMMARY: 

                     The Airfield Pavement Rehabilitation project is included in the FY20 Capital Improvements Program plan and funds are available in AI2064.

 

                     Total Project costs are estimated to be $432,400. The City will be responsible for administering the project and will seek reimbursement for eligible construction costs, not to exceed $220,000, upon project completion.
