RECOMMENDED ACTION:
* Approve the resolution.

ITEM SUMMARY:
* This park road will provide a connection between two existing parking lots that are to the south and east of the championship field and will greatly improve vehicular flow throughout the complex.
* City staff worked with DCBA on preparing the construction plans and specifications as needed for project bidding.

* Staff recommends awarding the construction bid to North Rock Construction, LLC in a contract amount of $197,633.03 and not to exceed $220,000.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* A total of 8 bids were received.

* North Rock Construction, LLC submitted the lowest bid for the construction.

* North Rock Construction has completed projects for the City of McKinney in the past, including Dr. Mack Hill Park and various trail projects. They are currently the contractor for Finch Park and Cottonwood Park improvement projects.

* If approved, construction should begin in this fall with a 60 day contract schedule.

FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
* This project (PK1906) is a FY19-20 Capital Improvements Program funded by Bond money and Parkland Dedication Funds Zone 3.

* Upon approval of this item, $8,175,300 remains in PK1906.
