RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of the Resolution.

ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a change order to the existing Design/Build Contract with ScoBilt Contractors, Inc.
* As requested, ScoBilt submitted a proposal to provide additional services for an amount not to exceed $533,500 related to a new exterior entry plaza design for the Old Settler's Recreation Center Renovation Project (PK4398) located at 1201 E. Louisiana Street, McKinney, Texas 75069.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* On February 5, 2019, the City of McKinney authorized a GMP contract amendment to the existing Design/Build Services Contract for the Old Settler's Recreation Center Renovation Project (PK4398) with ScoBilt Contractors, Inc. in association with Spurgin & Associates Architects.
* A new exterior entry plaza design was requested by the Parks and Recreation Department and construction documents were provided by Schrickel Rollins / Parkhill Smith & Cooper.
* ScoBilt Contractors, Inc. is a 40 year old general contracting firm that has performed renovation projects in both the public and private arenas; they have successfully completed multiple design / build projects with Spurgin & Associates Architects on several projects for ...
