ITEM SUMMARY:

* The Parks and Recreation Department is requesting funds in the amount of $3,637,040 to be used to complete design drawings for the Apex Centre Expansion and for delivering immediate physical improvements to the facility.


BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

* In February of 2019, the McKinney Community Development Corporation (MCDC) awarded funding to hire an architect to study the viability and develop concept plans for the potential expansion of the Apex Centre located in Gabe Nesbitt Community Park.
