The City of McKinney has received $222,994.11 from the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) for rental assistance and eviction diversion.

At the time that applications were approved to administer HUD-CV funding, the applicants were informed the funds to be administered might also include state funds to prevent, prepare for and respond to COVID-19; the process complied with all TDHCA program requirements.

Staff is recommending that these funds also be administered by Community Lifeline and the Assistance Center of Collin County, as the regulations and paperwork for the two programs are very similar.
