* This Resolution authorizes an award of a fixed price contract with Jim Bowman Construction Co, LP. and Alderink Enterprises, Inc. dba C.I. Pavement for as needed Concrete Street and Sidewalk Construction Repair Services.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* The City issued Invitation to Bid 21-16FP Concrete Street and Sidewalk Repair Services.
o Advertised in McKinney Courier Gazette
o Posted on McKinney TV
o 533 matching eBid Supplier Notifications
o Including 11 HUB Supplier Notifications
* In response to all notices published, ten (10) bids were received on February 1, 2021.
* An evaluation team comprised of staff from Public Works reviewed and ranked the bids based on the following criteria:
o 50 Points: Purchase Price
o 20 Points: Response Time
o 20 Points: Reputation of the Bidder and of the Bidder's Goods and Services, Verified through Reference Checks
o 7 Points: Bidder's Past Relationship with the City of McKinney
o 3 Points: McKinney Local Presence
* The evaluation team further recommends awarding Jim Bowman Construction Co., L.P. as the "primary" contractor and Alderink Enterprises, Inc. dba C.I. Pavement as the "secondary" contract. Both contractors have submitted a complete bid to all line items, and it was determined that both were best value bids for these services.
