RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION: Approve Ordinance certifying the election results for the May 1, 2021 General Election for City Mayor, Council District 1, Council District 3, and Council At-Large.
ITEM SUMMARY:
• An election was held on May 1, 2021 for qualified resident voters of the City to vote at said election for
o Mayor
o Council Member District 1,
o Council Member District 3, and
o Council Member At-Large.
• The election determined the winners for Mayor, District 3 and At-Large.
• The election did not determine the winner for District 1, and the City Council will order a runoff election to be held June 5, 2021.
• The ordinance approving the election results will include the final voter totals.
• The final election results are the certified numbers provided after the ballot board met to count provisional ballots on Friday, May 7, 2021.
