ITEM SUMMARY:
• This resolution authorizes award of a fixed price contract with Down Range Thermal for Monocular Night Vision Devices (MNVD).
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The City issued Invitation to Bid (21-31FP) for Monocular Night Vision Devices (MNVD) on April 4, 2021.
o Advertised in the McKinney Courier Gazette
o Posted on McKinney TV
o 118 matching eBid Supplier and seven (7) HUB Notifications
• Out of 118 supplier notifications, six (6) bids were received on April 22, 2021.
• An evaluation team comprised of City staff, reviewed and ranked the bids based on the following criteria:
o 40 Points - Purchase price
o 30 Points - Bidder’s ability to meet the city’s requirements
o 20 Points - Reputation of the respondent and of the respondent’s products and services verified through references
o 10 Points - Delivery schedule
• As a result of the evaluation process, Down Range Thermal was the top ranked supplier and recommended for award of contract.
• Contract shall commence on date of award and continue for a one (1) year period with an additional two (2) one-year terms.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• Funding for this project is budgeted in the Police account 033-3100-423-8106.
