RECOMMENDED PARK BOARD ACTION:
* Approval of the Recommendation.

ITEM SUMMARY:
* DCBA is currently under contract to design the conversion of the four northeastern fields to turf, constructing a restroom building, improving fencing, adding shade for participants and spectators and adding pedestrian connectivity.

* This agenda item will authorize a contract amendment to increase their scope to also include the renovation of fields 1 and 2. Once completed half of the fields at this complex will have been converted to turf which greatly increases the playability.

* This contract amendment is in the amount of $163,523. This will increase the current total design contract to $542,277 as well as increase the not to exceed amount to $550,000.


BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* DCBA was selected from a list of pre-qualified landscape architectural firms that Council approved on June 18, 2019.

* The 65 acre soccer complex was constructed in 2005 and includes 13 lit fields (one championship field), 900 parking spaces, concession building with restrooms and an irrigation pond.

* DCBA recently completed a master plan for the overall complex.
