RECOMMENDED PARK BOARD ACTION:                     

                     Consider and discuss Gray Branch Park.

 

ITEM SUMMARY: 

 

                     Gray Branch park property consists of 250 acres of undeveloped parkland. 

 

                     There are two dilapidated houses on the property as well as a large barn structure that is not being used. 

 

                     A master plan (approved in 2012) is in place for a portion of the property (additional land was acquired subsequent to the master plan being finalized).

 

                     This agenda item will allow for discussion on both short-term and long-term improvements to the property.

 

                                                                                                                              

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: 

                     The original 150 acres was purchased in 2009.

 

                     Approximately 46 acres north of Wilson Creek was purchased in 2013.

 

                     Approximately 60 acres west of Gray Branch Road was purchased in 2016.
