ITEM SUMMARY:
• This Resolution authorizes award of a fixed price contract with David’s Paint and Body of McKinney, Texas for Automotive Paint and Body Services.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The purpose of this contract is to provide the Public Works Department with the ability to obtain services under a fixed price contract on an as needed basis.
• The City issued Invitation to Bid 21-53FP, Automotive Paint and Body Services on August 29, 2021.

o 147 matching eBid Supplier Notifications
o 1 Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) Vendor was notified.
• In response to all notices published, three (3) bids were received on
• September 16, 2021 from:
o David’s Paint and Body
o Maaco Collision Repair & Auto Painting
o Industrial Power Truck & Equipment
• An evaluation team comprised of City staff reviewed and ranked the bids based on the following criteria:
o 40%-Hourly Labor Rates
o 17%-Reputation of The Bidder and of The Bidder’s Goods or Services Verified Through Reference Checks
o 30%-Markup on Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Parts
o 10%-Turn Around Time for Pickup and Delivery of Vehicles Once Notified
o 3%-Local Vendor Preference
• The evaluation team recommends David’s Paint and Body as the best value for the city.
• Contract will commence on date of award and continue for one (1) year period with additional three (3) one-year terms.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• Funding for these services is budgeted in account 015-2111-413-85.54.
