ITEM SUMMARY:
• This Resolution authorizes the formal rejection of all bids under Solicitation 22-11RFCSP East Louisiana Parking Lot Project.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The City issued a solicitation (22-11RFCSP) for the Construction of the East Louisiana Parking Lot Project
o Advertised in the McKinney Courier Gazette
o Posted on McKinney TV
o 1,149 matching eBid Supplier Notifications
o Including 49 Historically Underutilized Business Supplier Notifications
• Out of 1,149 supplier notifications, eight (8) bids were received on Thursday, December 9, 2021.
• After reviewing the submitted the bids with the evaluation team, the Facilities Construction Division has determined that the submissions do not meet the needs outlined in the bid specification. Upon detailed review of the submissions, missing information and discrepancies were noted between the bid schedule line items and requirements listed in the specifications. The Facilities Construction Division has elected to reject all bids, update the bid specifications to help correct these issues, and rebid the project to avoid any discrepancies which would potentially result in significant change orders during construction.
• On behalf of Facilities Construction, Procurement Services will re-issue a new solicitation for the construction of the East Louisiana Parking Lot Project.
