RECOMMENDED COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of the Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
* LJA Engineering, Inc. recently completed the master plan for this park. Based upon their master plan design and quality of work, they were requested to provide design and construction administration services for the completion of the project.
* During the master planning process, which consisted of public input via an online survey, a master plan was developed that provides the park with amenities such as:
o Play structure
o Walking paths
o Boardwalk
o Shade structure
o Parking lot
* We received 755 survey responses and the completed master plan reflects the comments and preferences from an overwhelming majority of respondents.
* This agenda item will authorize a professional services contract with LJA Engineering Inc., to provide design and construction administration services for the McKinney Greens Park, for a contract amount of $133,250 and a not to exceed amount of $140,000.
