RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of the Ordinance.

ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Ordinance amends the Fiscal Year 2021 - 2022 Annual Budget and the 2022 - 2026 Capital Improvement Program to provide funding for actual construction costs associated with the McKinney Ranch Pump Station Improvements Project (CIP Project WA1626) for a total of $1,400,000.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* There is a companion item on the agenda seeking authorization to enter into a construction contract with Archer-Western Construction, LLC for the construction of the McKinney Ranch Pump Station Improvements Project (CIP Project WA1626).
* Current funding/revenues in CIP Project WA1626 are insufficient to cover the actual construction costs of the project and associated construction contingencies based on significant construction price inflation that has occurred over the life of the project.
* A budget amendment is needed to increase the project budget to cover the actual construction cost of the project and advance the needed major improvements at the McKinney Ranch Pump Station Facility.
* There is currently a balance of collected water impact fees which has not been allocated to capital projects in the Fiscal Year 2021 - 2022 Annual Budget.
* These unallocated/collected water impact fees are eligible as a revenue source for CIP Project WA1626 based on proposed improvements which will increase water pumping capacity of the facility ...
