ITEM SUMMARY:
• This Resolution authorizes an award of a fixed price contract with Aqua Bore, LLC of Terrell, Texas for as needed directional water line boring services, used to install water pipe in residential areas.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The City issued Invitation to Bid 22-37FP, Boring Services on April 10, 2022.
o Advertised in McKinney Courier Gazette
o Posted on McKinney TV
o 1,052 matching eBid supplier notifications
o 43 Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) Vendors were notified
• In response to all notices published, two (2) bids were received on April 28, 2022.
• An evaluation team comprised of staff from Water Utilities reviewed and ranked the bids based on the following criteria:
o 40% Purchase Price
o 35% Response Time
o 25% Bidder’s Personnel & Equipment List
• The evaluation team recommends Aqua Bore, LLC of Terrell, Texas as the best value for the city.
• Contract will commence on date of award and continue for a three (3) year period.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• Estimated annual spend for this contract award is $50,000.
• Funding is budgeted in Water Utilities account 003-8205-503-8516.
