RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:                     

                     Discuss and provide direction to City staff

 

ITEM SUMMARY: 

                     This item is to discuss recommendations on the finalized wayfinding signage design, gateway locations and concept designs, program cost estimates, and next steps.

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: 

                     The project was kicked off in January 2021. Since this date three major trips have been completed to receive feedback from the public and to discuss with key stakeholders.

•    Two surveys have collected public input for this project: a Wayfinding Assessment Survey in March 2021 and a Design Input Survey in June 2021.

•    The project team last presented to city council on September 21, 2021 and received concurrence on the signage design concept.

•    Coordination began with TxDOT in April 2022 to begin the approval process on the design and proposed wayfinding sign locations.

FINANCIAL SUMMARY: 

                     Resolution 2021-01-005 authorized the use of funds from Capital Improvements Program TR2025 for the Wayfinding Master Plan.
