RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of Resolution.

ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a supplemental agreement with Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. for additional professional consulting engineering services for the SH 5 Utility Relocations (Power House Street to Spur 399) Project (CIP Projects WA1633 and WW1633) for an increase in the not to exceed from $1,830,000 to a total aggregate contract amount, inclusive of any additional supplemental agreements, not to exceed $2,005,000.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. is currently under contract with the City for professional consulting engineering services related to the SH 5 Utility Relocations (Power House Street to Spur 399) Project (CIP Projects WA1633 and WW1633).
* The project consists of required relocations and betterment of existing city water distribution mains and wastewater collection mains which have been identified to be in conflict with the proposed improvements to State Highway 5 by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).
* As detailed design have progressed, the following additional services have/will be required which were not included in the original contract:
o Design revisions for two (2) wastewater line segments near Downtown McKinney to accommodate TxDOT revisions to the proposed SH 5 storm drain design.
