ITEM SUMMARY:

This resolution authorizes the formal rejection of all proposals under Solicitation 22-30CSP, McKinney Sports Complex.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

The City issued a solicitation (22-30CSP) for the construction of the McKinney Sports Complex project.

o                     Advertised in the McKinney Courier Gazette

o                     Posted on McKinney TV

o                     1109 matching eBid Supplier Notifications

o                     Including 46 Historically Underutilized Business Supplier Notifications

Out of 1109 supplier notifications, two (2) proposals were received on July 12, 2022.

After reviewing the submitted proposals with the project architect, the Parks and Recreation Department has elected to reject all proposals and rebid the project.  This is due to one proposal being considered non-responsive because they did not submit unit pricing on the proposal schedule, in addition to requesting an addendum to raise prices as needed to reflect labor and supply shortages. Secondly, the remaining proposal submitted pricing that was significantly higher than what the project’s budget can support.

On behalf of Parks and Recreation, Procurement Services will re-issue a new solicitation for the construction of the McKinney Sports Complex.
