RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of the Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes an amendment to the existing contract to provide soil remediation services related to the design and construction of the McKinney Municipal Complex located in McKinney, Texas 75069.
* The selected consultant, Pogue Construction submitted a proposal to provide Phase 1 GMP soil remediation services for the McKinney Municipal Complex for $593,112 which includes CMAR construction services fee of 1.95%.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* Pogue Construction is ranked among the top five general contractors in North Texas. They are a McKinney Texas based firm and have successfully completed multiple projects for McKinney and many other municipalities.
* Future agenda items associated with this project will be presented for consideration and would authorize amendments to the contract allowing for full construction services. This agenda item is identified as Phase 1 GMP for Soil Remediation.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
* The Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute an amendment to the existing preconstruction services agreement for soil remediation services, including potential changes to the scope of services, with Pogue Construction for an amount not to exceed $652,112 which includes a contingency amount of $59,000.
