RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of the Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
* The selected consultant team, Terracon Consultants, Inc. submitted a proposal to provide Construction Materials Observation, Engineering and Testing services for the McKinney Municipal Complex Project in the amount of Three Hundred Seventy-five Thousand, Eight Hundred Fifty-four and No/100 Dollars, ($375,854.00).
* This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a professional services agreement with Terracon Consultants, Inc. to provide Construction Materials Observation, Engineering and Testing services related to the McKinney Municipal Complex Project (MMC).
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* The City of McKinney issued a request for qualifications (RFQ) for miscellaneous geotechnical and materials testing services (21-18RFQ). Of the twenty-four (24) firms that submitted a statement of qualifications, Terracon was one of the five (5) firms which were determined to be the most qualified in the selection.
* Terracon owns, operates, and maintains one of the largest networks of accredited and validated labs of any geotechnical engineering firm in the U.S. and has successfully completed multiple City of McKinney projects and thousands of successful projects with other entities.
