RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of Resolution

ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract and all necessary change orders with Ragle, Inc., for the construction of the Collin McKinney Parkway (Lake Forest Drive to Tina Drive) Project (ST1841) for a total contract amount not to exceed $10,650,000.00.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. prepared the construction plans for the Collin McKinney Parkway (Lake Forest Drive to Tina Drive) Project (ST1841).
* Collin McKinney Parkway is currently identified as a four-lane divided greenway arterial (G4D Classification) per the Master Thoroughfare Plan.
* The project will include construction of the remaining westbound lanes (north side) as well as the proposed eastbound lanes (south side) of the roadway.
* In addition to the roadway extension, the construction will include installation of median lighting along the length of the roadway as well as constructing an eastbound bridge at Cottonwood Creek along with modifications to the existing westbound bridge. A 10-foot trail will also be added along the roadway and under the bridges.
