RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
• Approval of the Resolution
ITEM SUMMARY:
• This Resolution establishes a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) of $5,477,280 as proposed by Crossland Construction Company, Inc. which includes a construction manager’s fee of 4.25%.
• This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a GMP Amendment to the contract with Crossland Construction Company, Inc., the Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) for the McKinney National Airport Airfield Maintenance and Storage Building (TKI-SRE).
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The construction documents were issued on September 30, 2022 and have been advertised for bids by Crossland Construction Company, Inc.
• Crossland has compiled the bids and submitted a final Guaranteed Maximum Price for approval.
• With this approval, Crossland will be notified to begin construction with completion scheduled for December 2023.
• Crossland Construction Company, Inc. is ranked among the top general contractors in North Texas and the nation. They are a Prosper, Texas based firm and have successfully completed multiple projects for McKinney and many other municipalities.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• The Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract amendment to the existing Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) services contract, for construction services with Crossland Construction Company, Inc. for an amount not to exceed $5,477,280.
• With approval of this item, the total project budget remaining in project AI4315 will be $281,725.
