RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of the Ordinance.

ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Ordinance will:
* Change the 10-minute loading zone along Louisiana Street from Wood Street to Kentucky Street as established in the Code of Ordinances to 20-minute loading zone.
? Modify the locations of the loading zones along Louisiana Street to reflect actual field locations.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* In April 2011, the Grand Hotel requested the 10-minute loading zone along the north side of Louisiana Street in the two parking spaces immediately east of Wood Street.
* In October 2022, the Grand Hotel and Rick's Chop House, who utilize this loading zone, requested the time of the loading zone be extended to 20 minutes. The 20-minute loading zone is similar to the time the loading zones are active at all other locations downtown.
* The length of the loading zone was also extended along the north side of Louisiana Street between Wood Street and Kentucky Street to accommodate 4 parking spaces as requested by the Grand Hotel and Rick's Chop House during the Louisiana Street reconstruction project.
* This Item will revise the location of the two other loading zones along Louisiana Street to reflect the actual location of these loading zones after the completion of the Louisiana Street reconstruction project, as signed in the field.
