RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
• Approval of the Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
• The selected consultant, Spinelli Construction Services, LLC has submitted a proposal to provide additional Owner’s Rep services for the McKinney Municipal Complex Project in the amount of Two Hundred Fifty-two Thousand, One Hundred and No/100 Dollars, ($252,100.00).
• This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute an additional services agreement to the existing professional services agreement with Spinelli Construction Services, LLC to provide Owner’s Rep services related to the McKinney Municipal Complex Project FC1707 (MMC) for an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Seventy-seven Thousand, One Hundred and No/100 Dollars, ($277,100.00) which includes a contingency of Twenty-five Thousand and No/100 Dollars, ($25,000.00).
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• Spinelli Construction Services, LLC (SCS) is a professional consulting services firm based in Richardson, Texas. Brenda Spinelli, CD, LEED AP BD+C, President of SCS, has successfully performed consultant services for the City of McKinney for several years and has successfully assisted in the completion of multiple City of McKinney projects.
• The City needs a professional services consulting firm specializing in public owner’s representation and project management to continue assisting the Facilities Construction Division in the management of this project.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• On April 27, 2022, the City of McKinney executed a Professional Services Agreement with SCS for Owner’s Rep services with a not to exceed (NTE) amount of $97,300. With approval of this Resolution, the NTE amount will increase to $374,400 which includes a total owner’s contingency of $33,800.
• Upon approval of this agenda item, $480,972 will remain in Project FC1707.
