RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes a supplemental agreement with Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. to provide additional professional engineering services for the design of the Wilmeth Road (Lake Forest Drive to Hardin Boulevard) Project (CIP Project ST1719) for an increase in the not to exceed from $2,265,000 to a total aggregate contract amount, inclusive of any additional supplemental agreements, not to exceed $2,335,000.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. (KHA) is currently under contract with the City for design and construction administration services related to the Wilmeth Road (Lake Forest Drive to Hardin Boulevard) Project. As construction on the project has progressed, the following additional services have/will be required which were not included in KHA's original contract:
o Modifications to the construction plans to accommodate revisions being included in the Painted Tree development.
o Additional construction oversight for the bridge construction over Franklin Branch.
o Additional construction administration support services.
* Construction of the project began in March 2022 and is expected to be completed by March 2024.
* Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. submitted a proposal for $60,000 for these additional services ($2,321,300 aggregate contract total), which has b...
