ITEM SUMMARY:
• The Fire and Arson Task Force Interlocal Agreement between the City of McKinney and Collin County will enhance the fire investigation capabilities and resources of the McKinney Fire Department.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The McKinney Fire Department has a limited amount of fire investigators and resources. Collaborating with other departments as part of the Collin County Fire and Arson Task Force provides an excellent opportunity for sharing investigative resources. Additionally, working with our neighboring fire departments and cross- training can increase each department’s overall knowledge and skills in fire and arson investigations.
