* Approval of Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract in the amount of $383,000.00, as well as all required supplemental agreements thereto, with Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. for professional engineering services for the Medical Center Drive (Frisco Road to Spur 399) Project (CIP Project ST2105), for a total aggregate contract amount, inclusive of any supplemental agreements, not to exceed $440,000.00.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* The project will involve design services to widen the existing undivided Medical Center Drive from Frisco Road to Spur 399 to four lane divided minor arterial (M4D classification) to provide a consistent roadway section connecting Medical Center Drive north of Sam Rayburn tollway and to future Fairview Parkway section at Frisco Road.
* The project consists of approximately 1,500 linear feet of concrete pavement, sidewalk, pedestrian crossings, illumination, and improvements to the signal at SE corner of Medical Center Drive and Spur 399.
* Kimley Horn and Associates, Inc. submitted a response to 21-41RFQ for On-call Roadway Design Services They were one of eleven firms shortlisted by City Council on September 7, 2021.
