ITEM SUMMARY:
• This amendment provides an addition exemption for special event permitting process for library special events on library property approved by the library director.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The library is currently planning, performing, and hosting an increasing number of programs that are drawing such attendance as to require special events permits to comply with the existing city ordinance.
• The ordinance currently provides exemptions for special events on parks land approved by the parks director and MPAC events approved by the MPAC director.
