RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of the Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute an amendment to the professional services contract to provide additional services related to the negotiation, implementation, and transition of solid waste collection and recycling processing contracts.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* City Council authorized a contract with Burns & McDonnell to assist the City with strategic procurement activities for solid waste collection and recycling processing RFP process on August 2, 2022 for $121,340.
* Burns & McDonnell have exhausted the funds available through the contract during due diligence and negotiation phases of the project. This amendment will provide additional funding for unforeseen activities and studies required during the project.
* Additionally, staff desires to continue Burns & McDonnell's services during the transition period, after award of contracts, to ensure the transition is completed as outlined in the respondents' proposals and resulting contracts.
* Burns & McDonnell have provided the City with a proposal for services in the amount of $52,500.
