RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes a supplemental agreement with Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. to provide additional professional engineering services for the design of the Collin McKinney Parkway (Lake Forest Drive to Tina Drive) Project (ST1841) for an increase in the not to exceed from $995,000 to a total aggregate contract amount, inclusive of any additional supplemental agreements, not to exceed $1,075,000.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. (KHA) is currently under contract with the City for design and construction administration services related to the Collin McKinney Parkway (Lake Forest Drive to Tina Drive) Project. As construction on the project has progressed, the following additional services have/will be required which were not included in KHA's original contract:
o Modifications to the construction plans to accommodate miscellaneous revisions to the drainage plans and traffic signal plans.
o Additional construction administration support services.
* Construction of the project began in January 2023 and is expected to be completed by March 2024.
* Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. submitted a proposal for $79,100 for these additional services ($1,074,100 aggregate contract total), which has been reviewed by staff and exceeds the previously authorized not to exceed a...
