RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:                     

                     Receive information on the importance of maintenance in historic preservation and updates on the incentives and resources for maintaining historic properties.

 

ITEM SUMMARY: 

                     Staff will be facilitating an annual series of trainings on city services, programs, and best practices related to Historic Preservation programs.

                     Staff will offer training and/or retraining to board members on the use of the development tools available to the Board and the public. This month, staff will specifically address maintenance of historic properties then have an update on the Historic Neighborhood Improvement Zone program, the Home Recognition Calendar, and resources for historic property maintenance.
