ITEM SUMMARY:
* McKinney Community Development Corporation will conduct a public hearing on a project grant application submitted by Sugar Rush Holdings (dba Cami Cakes) for $33,127.25 for infrastructure renovations necessary for preparing space for a new bakery.
* Project elements include expanding electrical capacity and installing a grease trap, both of which are required by the City code.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* Cami Cakes has been in business since 2006 and has stores in Florida and Georgia. This will be their first location in this region.
* The bakery specializes in gourmet cupcakes, layer cakes and ice creams.
* Their mission is to "create happiness on cupcake at a time" by providing quality food and service in a friendly atmosphere while preserving customer trust and confidence.

FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
* Funds allocated for MCDC Retail Development Infrastructure Grants total $300,000. Maximum award for any single grant is $50,000.
